Less than a year ago I started a brigade in my town - I must have been lucky, since I didn't have to go on the waiting list. It has really taken off since so many customers are bringing in their 1# bags from the grocery store to get their free tall coffees. Over the past six months we have collected over 1500 bags - and it keeps growing!

Way to spread the Terracycle good word!

Wow, Apple grace! Your thread has taken off! It's fun reading everyone's stories. I'm a Store Manager in the Central Coast of CA, and have been a partner for 5 1/2 years. I've been married for a year and a half & have no pets, but my husband cultivates tomatoes & basil - it's a start! I'm thrilled to be able to use this site as a discussion-starting, volunteer-connecting, hours-logging, force for good in our community! We recently started a partnership with the local food bank, have volunteered for CASA for over 7 years, have supported multiple AIDS Walks, and recycle our used whipped cream chargers! Pleasure to meet you all.

Anna, thanks for your response. Submitting hours quarterly seems like a great idea and I think I've figured out how to add projects-within projects, as well! I appreciate your help!

For the most part, I find the site easy to navigate & use. I've had no problem creating events, inviting participants, recording service hours, etc. My only problem is when narrowing a search for partners, I can only see cities that begin with an "A" or a "B". Similarly, only the first several hundred store numbers appear in the dropdown menu when narrowing the search that way. It may be my browser, but I thought I'd throw that out there! Great job so far - and you have over 13,000 registered partners to prove it! Thank you!

I have to say, my DM is much better than I am at bringing supplies - sunscreen, granola bars, bottled water - she always comes prepared! I make sure I have some Advil in my bag as well :-)

I can't wait to try it. Sun-dried Sidamo is one of my favorites & I'm excited to see it teamed up with its coffee buddies! The bag looks appropriate for such a special coffee, too!

How to log hours for an ongoing service project?

My area has recently started helping out at the local food bank once a month. I'm unclear how to log the hours each month, without marking the entire project as "completed". Do I create a project-within-a-project?
