The theme of the walk this year is Universal Access to medical care and treatement for all people with Hiv/Aids For the first time ever, the United States has a National Aids Strategy in place to help combat this epidimic here at home.  The second largest killer of youths and young adults in the world is Aids, following  accidents and suicide. The Average age of a Starbucks partner is  25.  HIV/AIDS Education and prevention is essential for our young people in Kansas city. In Kc over 700 cases of HIV/Aids affect kids from age 13-21.  We havent had an Aids Free Born Generation in 3 decades and we are striving to get there by 2015.  We want to spread that message, We will be speaking to youth centers and schools about education and prevention of Hiv. We want to reach as many diverse groups of people in Kc and join together in April to walk for a future! Aids-Free! In 2012 the Global Aids Conference will be held for the first time in the United States. Please join us April 30th.
