Description of volunteer effort:

Now that the holiday season is over people can often forget there still is a need for food and non-food items in our community. In order to create awareness in our city we have invited two districts to hold food-raising events and collect food from sponsors to bring to our main Barista Olympic Event. Each store selects 4 partners to represent their store. We have invited our customers and community to cheer on those they pledged food to. The teams will compete in fun events and all food and non-food items will be taken to the Kelowna Foodbank. Last year we raised over $2000 in food and had 93 volunteer hours.
