Description of volunteer effort:

America SCORES Cleveland and Starbucks are partnering with the Cuyahoga Valley National Park to do service in honor of Starbuck's 40th anniversary.  Since April is the month to celebrate Earth day, we have chosen an environmental service project. Through this service project, Starbucks staff along with America SCORES Cleveland students, staff, and volunteers will work with National Park Service Rangers at an area of land in the northern section of the Park known as Terra Vista. Right now, Terra Vista is almost 100% covered by an invasive plant species known as Autumn Olive. Through our day of service, we will be provided with all the tools and direction needed, including gloves, goggles, hand tools, and safety talks, to help the Park remove a portion of the Autumn Olive from this tract of land.
