I would like to thank Janise Yarbrough ans Anna Hatzenbuehler and their additional volunteers they brought for attending the Saturday, March 24th optional training. If you are interested in a more interactive volunteering experience I highly recomend you attend. The next training dates are:

Please be aware that if you would like to work hands on with the animals there will be a $10 charge for a there shirt and other admin. expenses. We will be doing activities that will actually SAVE THE LIVES OF ANIMALS! Keeping the more than 250 animals active through walks and play will help keep them happy and healthy and guarantee them a longer time in the shelter as well as a perfect pairing with an adopter.

If you would not like to go through the optional training that, that is perfectly acceptable as well. You will just be helping with beautification projects like painting and landscaping to help make the Animal Foundation a more inviting place for potential adopters as well as the hard working individuals that work their every day. QASA!!! : ) No additinal fee is required. Just Long pants and a Green Starbucks Community Shirt.

Please tell any Non-Starbucks volunteers to register and sign in to this project.Next to our login, on the right hand side, there is a sign in for customers and family/friends. If you are planning on bringing someone to the event they must sign up prior to coming to the event so I can properly tag all the photos as well as get all the credit for the hours put in!

Description of volunteer effort:

This volenterr event will have 2 groups.

One group will use their QASA knowledge and passion to help create a more welcoming environment for both potential adopters as well as individuals who work there everyday. They will do this by participating in various activities such as painting and lands beautification across the shelter.

Group 2 will require additional training as well as an individual contribution of $10 ( for a shirt and other admin expenses, call me if assistance is needed) and will be responsible for HELPING SAVE THE LIVES OF THE VARIOUS ANIMALS IN THE SHELTER! There is a 1.5 hour orientation ( will be included in your contribution hours) that you must go to which will allow you to be able to play,walk , and potential save the life of that animal by keeping it a happy, healthy pet!
