Description of volunteer effort:

The National Zoo has a long history in animal and habitat conservation throughout the world, and in sustainability practices within our own operations. Many of our recent animal exhibits have been designed specifically to reduce their ecological impact and increase awareness of environmental issues among visitors to the Zoo.Employees will be divided into teams and given different responsibilities, offering a fantastic team-building experience. Checking in partners and customers for the event and keeping video and camera footage of event Planting an organic garden inside the kids farm; weeding, getting soil prepared, and actual planting of the garden Public grounds for your garden give-away from our stores Prep for public earth day event. Cleaning, weeding, and digging in area called the upper bear line where Smoky the Bear once lived; team would help clean this area of years of debris in preparation of the zoo planting the trees.
