Description of volunteer effort:

Volunteers will join EarthCorps, Nature Consortium and the Seattle Parks Department as we support the Green Seattle Partnership with this Earth Day Service Project!  We will continue to restore upland forest habitat of the West Duwamish Greenbelt. In addition to restoring this area you will learn about the challenges facing this greenspace and discover what is being done to make this forest healthy!  Today's work includes restoration site maintenance on existing restoration sites. Volunteers will be removing invasive plant species, grubbing out invasive blackberry roots, spreading mulch, and taking care of past restoration sites.

Partners should meet at South Seattle Community College at 10am to park, register and get started.

Lunch will be provided from 12pm - 1pm at the EarthCorps location.
