Description of volunteer effort:

We will help Manna sort the food donations that they receive from the community. We will separate donated food into different food categories, check expiration dates, and discard damaged products. Participating partners must be 18 and older. Please wear closed toe shoes to avoid injury. Hunger is a hidden, but prevalent problem in Montgomery County. One of every four county residents is at risk of hunger. Manna Food Center is the main food bank in Montgomery County, and nearly every county nonprofit organization relies on Manna to provide essential food to their community. Note: This is an alternative event for those partners who can't volunteer during our main Global Community Month of service event on April 14th.
