Project Overview

Description of volunteer effort:

The Victoria Area Starbucks' have adopted a section of the Galloping Goose Regional Trail to maintain and care for. The Galloping Goose is a 60 km long biking and walking trail that connects Victoria, Saanich, Sidney, the Westshore areas and Sooke. It is used daily by thousands of people for recreational use or commuting to work and school. It also acts as a continuous public green space that runs through the urban setting of the Capital Regional District. We have officially adopted the section running from the corner of Borden and McKenzie in Saanich behind Saanich Centre and connecting to Quadra Street. With your help we can keep the Galloping Goose free of litter and evasive black berry vines or Broom shrubs. We have selected to pair up with Evergreen.ca to bring communities and nature together for the benefit of both.
