Description of volunteer effort:

Calling Starbucks Partners and Customers ages 16 and up to Action. Join Hands On Nashville(HON) for the launch of its Urban Farm, and celebrate Global Youth Services Day Presented by Starbucks while doing your part to create a more sustainable local food system. Working in two Shift ( 8am to noon or noon to 4pm, a total of 200 adult volunteers and 300 youth will prepare the ground for plants, make rain gardens, create vegetable signs for the garden and create garden pathways. Adult volunteers' work will focus on preparing the ground for plants. All volunteers must week close-toed shoes and come prepared to work in the garden outdoors. Please dress appropriately.
