Description of volunteer effort:
For over 20 years, Thanksgiving in February has brought restaurants in Montgomery County, MD together with local nonprofit agencies to support hunger relief in our community. One day every February, over 70 restaurants contribute 10 -- 20% of their sales to this community event. Proceeds from this event go to support 11 Montgomery County agencies that provide emergency food to our hungry neighbors. Join us on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 You can help fight hunger in our community! Simply take your friends, family, coworkers, etc. and dine out at a participating restaurant of your choice. The restaurants listed on the "Where To Eat" page (http://www.thanksgivinginfebruary.org/where-to-eat/) will donate up to 20% of their February 28th receipts. Take a look and see what restaurants are participating for breakfast, lunch and dinner and make your group reservations early!
