My name is Applegrace Francisco. I have been working for Starbucks since January of last year. I love my store (Cinco Ranch) and everyone I work with. Starbucks has been so good to me especially when it comes to school. I love helping out at other stores when needed and love to create drinks that one day I hope to see on the Starbucks menu. Three things about me: I am currently a student at Sam Houston State and University of Houston. I love Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate with two shots of espresso. I love to run :) How about you?
Good idea! Why didn't I think of this....oh well Hi my name is Mary Laubenberg and I have worked for Starbucks for over 4 and a half years (the end of June will be my 5th year anniversary) at Westheimer Parkway and Mason (6419). I am currently a student at Lone Star Community College where I hope to get into the Nursing program. I am known as the clean/organizational freak of my store. Also I have been recently diagnosed with Lupus which is an auto immune disorder(no its not cancer everyone asks me if it is) where what happens is that your immune system goes into flares of being hyper active where it begins to attack healthy tissue. So far my case has been very mild so its not as bad as it could be which is always a good thing. I am planning on organizing a team for the Lupus walk that is going on in Houston on May 1st so if anyone is interested let me know.
I love your store! I will be taking a class at Lone Star this coming summer and maybe fall. the nursing program is awesome update our store(Cinco Ranch since you are our FRIENDS I will be glad to be a part of that walk
Apple grace, I just love that name! Hi I am Bertha Gonzaba and have been a partner for 15 years with Starbucks in the San Antonio area! When I started we only had a handful of stores in Houston. I am the regional director for San Antonio and West Texas. Good to see you guys on the community website and getting connected especially around community events!
Oh I also wanted to make sure you know we are also trying to do Relay for Life again which is going on in April. Laura Newman looks to be the one incharge of creating the group. I know a couple of people from my store are going to be doing that one as well. As for the Lupus walk I am waiting to hear from Kathy about going to talk to her about the details.
Great to hear from you Apple Grace. I am Joe Thornton, RVP, and I have been a partner for five years. I found my home here with Starbucks and it has been great. I have learned alot from other partners and I enjoy the time I get in the stores with partners. Thanks for the message.
Hi There from sunny San Diego! My name is Kati and I'm a store manager in the mission valley area right next to Qualcomm stadium where the chargers play. I've a partner for 10 years in March and still love it! Currently my store is taking on the biggest loser challenge Pound for Pound and our food bank is Feeding America San Diego. We just got word tonight that we get to be one of their spotlight teams and I am so thrilled! Its a great organization and I can't wait to do more =)
Hi there, My name is Marty Cook and I am a partner from Michigan where it is -5 degrees today. I have been a partner for almost 14 years and am currently the regional director for the Great Lakes area. My region Mid-America is looking to achieve over 5000 hours during April month of service. Thanks for starting such a great conversation!
Hey there Marty! 14 years that is most awesome Michigan is beautiful
I hope to one day own my own store but I have to finish school first and graduate. What is your favorite Starbucks beverage?
Hello! I am Augusta Thompson, managing store 2917 in Columbia SC. I have been with Starbucks for a while, started in Baltimore. Our district is just getting started with a coat drive and then a food drive upcoming. I really like the idea of being able to reach out to other states and groups to get ideas for projects and community events!!
I am liking living in SC.
Coat drive is to collect used/new coats for Salvation to give out to those that need. At the end of the season we're hoping people will be ready to donate their winter coats.
I'll take anything that can be used to warm someone who needs it. Hoodies, coats, parkas, jackets, windbreakers, ponchos, blankets... gloves, hats, scarves.
It is all going to Salvation Army so they can distribute it.
Hey, I'm Chris Hastings. I've been working for starbucks since Nov 2009. I love flying and I'm studying Information Technology at Broward College. I'm doing my best to come up with some way my area can give back to the community. It seems there's nothing going on here partner connection or community involvement wise.
Hello there Christopher!! We started on the same month lol. Well you know if you have schools around your area try to see if yall can be a part of the Big Brother and Big Sister Program... also the church always throw some events maybe yall could serve coffee to the volunteers at church in the morning or even just provide them with coffee travelers ..
Hello Apple Francisco.
Something about myself:
1. I prefer to use real words when texting
2. I have a big, lazy, old dog that has actually earned her keep.
3. I think I tend to use too many commas
4. When I was young, I was a skinny, blonde-haired kid with 20/20 vision...imagine that!
5. My favorite espresso drink is a well-made Caramel Macchiato
By the way, the owner of the wallet you found in my store's restroom was extremely thankful. Without her ID's, she would have missed her flight the next day. She was very happy to see that there are still honest people (like yourself). I'll buy your drink the next time I see you.
Hey Paul!! I went to your store on one of the radom saturday mornings and you were not there **Tears** lol
But I just a warmed up Cheese Danish and Marble Mocha lol.
I am glad that I went to the bathroom that morning lol..
as far as texting well it iw always best to use real words "bomb diggy di" is a word lol (jk)
I love dogs! I just adopted one a month ago a Cocker Spaniel names Maximus short name is Max

I like long, fancy dog names too. My dog is Peg, short for Mumbletypeg. My mom's dog is Gus, short for Augustus Pablo
Hello There! My name is Aimee! I've started working for Starbucks at a license store, inside Safeway(in Colorado)(in 2004). From there I moved to Indiana and worked for a bass pro Starbucks license store. Then I met a customer who worked for Starbucks and told me I was really good at my job and to apply at her store which was opening soon. From there I Moved into the company. I love Starbucks and my job! Let's see... I loved doing things outside the store for Starbucks, commitiy work, commitiy fundraisers ! I've enjoyed learning many things from all the stores I have now work at! I someday hope to do somethin great within the company! Besides all that ... Ummm I like to have dance parties with timers to get my partners in the mood. I love doing art, seeing the world, and I'd take and chance to try anything once.. Besides that I'm just your normal batista!
Hello Partners!! My name is Kasey and I've been with Starbucks since April of 2006, I'm almost at my 5 year mark!! I am currently running two stores in Gainesville, FL - Plaza Royale and Hunters Crossing. My drink of choice is a Grande Toffee Nut Soy Latte or a Venti 4 pump Classic Passion Tea Lemonade. I have been volunteering with the American Cancer Society for the past 5 years and am currently our areas event chair for our local Relay for Life. February 1st, my district served dinner at our local Hope Lodge, a facility that provides free housing for cancer patients and their caregivers while they are going through cancer treatment. It was one of the most heartfelt moments in my career at Starbucks. To see partners come together to do something as simple as make dinner for these people that are going through probably the most difficult time in there life was amazing. The cancer patients and their caregivers were so thankful. We've already had requests from partners that were unable to make it to have this event again. We can't wait to go back! Currently we are planning a city wide photo scavenger hunt as a fundraiser for our Baristas for a Cure, Relay for Life Team. Every day am I amazed by the impact my fellow partners and I have on our community and I am proud to work for a company that encourages us to give back!
I'm Tiff Terwillegar. I have been a partner since October 2006. I'm an ASM in Round Rock, TX. My favorite drink is a Caramel White Mocha Frappuccino. I love the benefits of Starbucks, like Maternity Leave. It was a life saver. I feel when a company cares that much about their partners, in turn you want to do more for the company.
Hello my Starbucks partners. I 'm Angel Forster and have been a partner ( SS ) for almost 5 yrs, I love Starbucks and was a 5 time a day customer before I came to work here. I have worked at many of our stores here in the New Orleans area an each one has left me with a LOT of good memories. I am addicted to caffeine as much as our customers are, so when I make you're drink I am making it with love ...the way I make my own !!!!!!!! My favorite drink is a venti soy latte - iced or hot !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Tiffany! I do agree with you with the company taking care of us even if it is as small us cooperating with school schedules and what not. I tried your drink today and it was delicious but how is your recipe made? and where is Round Texas?
Hi Apple , Round Rock, Tx is less than 30 minutes North of Austin. I only do one pump Frappuccino Roast, nonfat milk, one white mocha, one caramel, one cinnamon dolce (somedays) one coffee light base, light ice, with whip, caramel drizzle and cinnamon dolce sprinkles. It is sweet and mas more flavor with the coffee, but I feel better with the nonfat and light. The light ice makes it easier to finish on a ten. Sometimes I do sugar free cd or caramel. My favorite part is after I drink the drink down slurping up the melted whip cream caramel tasty goodness. I am amazed how many partners you are connecting with. You are so involved with your large Starbucks Community. Thanks for getting us all together.
that sounds soo delicious
I just wrote down the recipe and will give it a try
I have not perfected this yet
but i have yet to make
an upside down caramel macciato frap..
it's getting there..lol
ill update more later

Hello from Baton Rouge, Louisiana,
My name is Blake Stevens, and I will celebrate 10 years with Starbucks in June. I have been married to my lovely wife Anna for 4 years (we met volunteering during Hurricane Katrina.. She kept coming through the drive thru for some reason... she said it was the coffee but... now we are married..crazy huh) and we have an 18 month old named Benjamin. The first year we were married we rescued, fostered, and found homes for about 20 animals. We now have 2 boston terriers(Curly & Cordelia).. I think that is enough for now ... I am very excited to be apart of the community website sharing ideas and activities with others.. oh and my favorite beverage is a triple tall "for here" cappuccino, and my coffee of choice is Gold Coast...
My name is Julie. I am a retired gymnastics coach and joined Starbucks 6 1/2 years ago. I love coffee beans, always thriving to learn and share about coffee. Farmers, history, geography, and Starbucks values are my passion with community service lining up equally. My goal is to visit Africa and while there, meet one of our farmers! I love what I do!!!! and dogs.
Julie..That sounds great..I would love to go to Africa also...I have a few instruments from Africia that my daughter brought back from when she was there on duty with the Coast Guard. Who knows maybe one day we will meet!
My name is Jason! (Jason 'The Barista' Tristan since I began working in cafes freshman year of college) I just graduated from U of South Carolina, and plan to take my partnership with the company as high as I can, working daily to provide that legendary service in whatever capacity I can. Above all else, I am a dedicated ASM and boyfriend who plans to ditch his four wheeled v6 for his 2 wheeled peddle powered Masi in the next year. I will relocate to boston and plan to have a store directed more at college students and/or business clientle. Last but not least, I will ALWAYS enjoy a french press with you...
Hello everyone! My name is Karra, and I have been a partner since July 2008. My favorite drink is a quad shot on ice with half and half. I just graduated from the University of New Mexico with my bachelors in business administration with a concentration in operations management! (I think the internal flow of inventory at Starbucks is way too fascinating.) I have a lab/pitbull mix named Echo, she is my buddy! My favorite part about working at Starbucks is getting to provide legendary service to the regulars at my store as well as the not so regulars!
I also volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and hang out with my "little sister" as often as I can!! I love being able to be a good influence on younger generations, my little sister even wants to become a Starbucks Barista someday!
How are you all doing?!
Hey guys! My name is Jessica and I am an 8+ year partner....and I love my job today as much as I did on day one. The last couple of years have been tough, but I can honestly say that I have learned more and grown more in the last two years than I have previously. I am a passionate advocate for training and development and I love to experience Starbucks through the eyes of a new partner.
I am a mother of 6 year old TWINS, Sophia and Isaiah and they are the most rewarding thing I have ever done! They adore Starbucks and their favourite drink is a kids hot chocolate during the winter and a vanilla bean frappuccino during the summer!
March of Dimes is a cause that I believe in and live for every day, because Sophia and Isaiah were born prematurely and if it wasn't for some of the developements in Neonatology that March of Dimes is responsible for, the twins may not have made it! I can't tell you how much pride, joy and utter gratitude I feel for Starbucks when I can utilize the indivdual Make your Mark grants for a cause I feel strongly about!
That's enough about me, I love reading these posts and learning about you guys!!!!! We are all doing it together, so keep posting!!!!!
Hi Jessica, you are a very high energy partner..with twins..how beautiful.. I love hearing from so many partners across the miles..it really brings a unity to Starbucks!
My son was born in respitory distress and the 14 days we spent in the NICU was the hardest times I've had so far, yet so much was gained from the experience. The many volunteers I encountered during our stay changed me for the better. They knitted blankets, held babies with no parents, made meals, donated diaper bags, money, time and long hugs with listening ears. It is an honor for me to be able to give back in any way.
Hello fellow partners My names Brandi been with in the Starbucks family it will be 7 years September 1,2011. I'm a mother of 2 fabulous boy' s Quenten 14 and Andrew 5 there are the loves of my life. Howdy partners...I work in Oxford Alabama. I am from St. Petersburg FL. We moved to Alabama to be nearer to my husbands family but I really missed home. My husband was a tug boat captain until the "spill" and I was in college. Suddenly we had no income and no insurance. Starbucks hired me and I made fast friends with some great people. Now I know where they were hiding! I feel now like I belong in the community that was before very alien to me. With the help of my partners we have started recycling and I am looking for a clean-up project for our store. I have 4 rescue dogs and a 6 year old son who loves to help me recycle! I drink black coffee...24/7!!! When I want something fancy a Double Tall Vanilla Latte with Vanilla POW on top!
Herrow ladies and gents!
My name is Ashley, you can call me any weird verison of it that you'd like (ash, ashry, ashmie... the list goes on). I started at Starbucks in Nov. 2006, helped open a new store in Iowa, and then after six months, I moved to Alabama, and within two months, I rehired into the store in Oxford, AL and have been their ever since.
I love the people I work with, I knew just about no one here, and I have an amazing circle of people, that grew from both partners and customers, that I think of as family.

Wow, Apple grace! Your thread has taken off! It's fun reading everyone's stories. I'm a Store Manager in the Central Coast of CA, and have been a partner for 5 1/2 years. I've been married for a year and a half & have no pets, but my husband cultivates tomatoes & basil - it's a start! I'm thrilled to be able to use this site as a discussion-starting, volunteer-connecting, hours-logging, force for good in our community! We recently started a partnership with the local food bank, have volunteered for CASA for over 7 years, have supported multiple AIDS Walks, and recycle our used whipped cream chargers! Pleasure to meet you all.
Hey all, my name is Dan and I'm a three year partner. I LOVE coffee and my fellow partners. I work in Southern Cali (Moreno Beach). I drink too much joe. Can you tell?
Im kinda a newbie to starbucks - been here for 6 months. Im being promoted to shift at my store and hope that maybe one day i will move up again in the company. I dont drink caffeine - I hate Coffee - although casi cielo pairs well with chocolate.
Hi Everyone! Applegrace, I love this message string...thanks for getting it going! My name is Stacey and I'm about to celebrate my 10th anniversary with Starbucks. (Love this company!) Been at the SSC the entire time in the Global Energy & Resource Management Department. Am supper excited to 1) have helped Starbucks meet their goal of offsetting the electricity use of our RNA stores by 50% through purchasing renewable energy and 2) be serving on the team that is bringing front of house recycling to stores. I'm originally from Maryland (born in Cumberland, but call Bowie home. Just outside the DC area). Have been out in the Seattle area since 1998 and Mt Rainier still takes my breath away every time I see it! For the past four years I have been one of the co-planners for the Mt Rainier Make Your Mark Trail Maintenance Work Party Weekend. If you're looking for a cool vacation come join us this August!
Hi everyone, my name is Venus and I started my career in a Target licensed store(there were no other Starbucks in the area). I spent 3 years there, running both Target's food service and Starbucks. I am now a barista in Osage Beach, MO (9527) and have hopes of having my own store one day.
Stacey, I am very interested in a recycling program for my store. It seems that we should be able to find a way to get all those empty milk jugs to a recycler, not a landfill!
My name is Lisa Mathena. I have been a partner since Sept 28th 2009. I am in Tampa, Fl. I became a shift supervisor in Oct 2010. I'm from Kent, Ohio originally. My plans are to one day became a Regional Manager.
But for now I'll take it one day at a time as a shift. Haven't gotten into volunteering yet but I plan on it very soon.
I hope to one day have a benefit of some kind to raise money for children and adults who have compromised immune systems that require a very expensive medicine called gammaglobulin in order to live a long and healthy life.
I think that I will quailfy as the newest newbie with just three days under my belt and....I LOVE IT. Plowing through my Barista, Shift Supervisor and RMT training to step into my asm role. I feel like I'm home, love the company and all that it stands for, love my partners, our customers, and the coffee. Fortunate to live along the beautiful north coast of Oregon, where things just don't get much better.
Looking forward to learning from those interested in sharing their knowledge...seems like a pretty long list with so many helpful Starbuck's partners.
Favorite coffee Sumatra and Papua New Guinea can't wait to taster Tribute, my mouth is watering just thinking about it ;-) <3
Hello! My name is Mitch Keller. Let's see I guess I would start my Starbucks story in Canada. I lived there for 3 years. During that time a Starbucks opened up in the City I was living in. I became really good as friends with the Partners that worked there and always thought it would be a great part time job. As life would have it, I has to return home to Wisconsin, and when I got home I decided to give Starbucks a try. I got hired in June. In August I became a shift and had a really great experience in both a cafe and drive threw locations. Starting on March 14th I'll be moving to my new store to assume the role of ASM. I'm pretty excited bout that and feel it's gonna be another great experience. I have to say that switching my career and moving to Starbucks is once of the best choices I've ever made. I'm always looking for ways to give back to the community and love to volunteer my time!
I love all of this positive energy! My name is Emily Haygood, and I am a 2+ year partner at the Hulen + Ledgestone store here in Fort Worth. I LOVE my team! I am actually a full-time esthetician, but I still work for Starbucks part-time because I just can't bear to leave my store and my friends.
My husband and I are about to celebrate our 3-year anniversary at the end of this month, and we have two rescued Border Collie-mix dogs named Lily and Abby. I love to cook and I love inventing new drinks for Starbucks! If I wasn't in cosmetology, I would have gone to culinary school - my secret dream job would be to invent flavors for Starbucks professinally.
