| Project Description: United Way Capital Area is calling for energetic volunteers to take part in the Bank On Central Texas (BOCT) initiative by helping to distribute informational material in key areas of the Austin community. The BOCT initiative, launched in June of 2010, involves a wide array of non-profit, financial and community partners and aims to bring Central Texans into the financial mainstream. In addition to healthy financial practices and opening safe accounts, a large component of this initiative is access to free financial education. This education can teach everything from basic budgeting to credit management in order to ensure that Bank On accounts will be used in the most productive way possible. Only with your commitment can we help Central Texans take advantage of these resources and make their money count! Both Spanish and English speaking volunteers needed. |
