Dear Valued Volunteers:
Below are some guidelines for volunteers to follow on site while volunteering.
Guidelines on the day of your volunteer event:
Volunteers must wear close-toe; flat shoes...no sandals or high heels for safety. Tennis shoes are fine. Please wear comfortable, casual clothing and dress in layers. The building can be warm or chilly!
It is important that everyone arrive on time for the start of the shift. A complete orientation, including safety training, will begin promptly at the start of your scheduled shift (at1p.m.)
The safety and wholesomeness of the food we handle is always a primary concern. Please do not come if you are sick.
We have lockers for your convenience; however there may not be enough locks available on any particular shift to accommodate each volunteer. With this in mind, please do not bring items of value to the food bank or warehouse. Northwest Harvest cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.
