Our Rockville Relay for Life 2011 was simply extraordinary! This was the fourth year for our team "Starbucks cares!" We had a full team (15 members) and so far we have raised $2480 (and more is coming because all our Silent Auction items sold!). The participation was awesome: We had 35 people joining the Relay, 21 of them were partners representing 8 stores of our district. The rest were our customers, their family members, our ex-partners and friends of our partners. They were coming and going, walking the laps for us and letting us rest. The last one was our own Tracy from First Field with her husband. They came shortly after midnight (after Tracy closed at her store). That is what we call caring, contributing to the community and being involved! We had six "allnighters" who were at the event from the beginning (Saturday 12 p.m.) to the end (Sunday 6:30 a.m.). We did what we promised to do. This journey slowly ends (this Relay will end in August) and we will start again in October. Please consider joining us! We will find the cure! Thanks again, Anna
