What did it mean to you?

Today meant so much to the zoo, thank you ALL for volunteering!  What did it mean to YOU?  For me personally, it meant feeling like I was part of something much bigger, a movement led by Starbucks all over the world to give back, pay it forward, and make a difference.  I would love to hear your thoughts!

This was the second project for me this month...and totally enjoyed it! I was able to recruit a friend this time... she had a awesome time as well. I always feel good about helping the community!! Looking forward to the next project!

This is my second project this month as well.  It was awe-inspiring to see so many dedicated partners and their families together for a good cause.  I think it speaks volumes for a company as large as Starbucks to do so much for the communities in which it operates, bring people together for a common purpose and still be a world leader - perhaps that is what keeps the brand alive.

It was also humbling to be in the presence of so many thoughtful people.

Last comment, I am not from the DC area, but everyone got along as though we work together daily.  It's nice to have that.  I can not say that other companies have the same caliber of people to do that.

When the forecast called for rain I was thinking it would discourage some volunteers from coming out to participate. I cant begin to tell you how proud and excited I was to see everyone siging up and doing the work despite the rain! I had the pleasure of taking pictures everyone and I cant wait to see them here! Humility hit me I watched everyone run up on the hill to take the picture...partners, customers, friends, family members and our partners at Booz Allen all standing side by side in the rain laughing, cheering and celebrating the work we had accomplished in just a few short hours in support of the National Zoo. It was just an amazing day!
