Think Together Early Literacy Program

During the month of April, store 14020, along with district 562, will be collecting childrens books to be donated to the Think Together early literacy program. This program gets gently used childrens books back into circulation.

Hey Lisa,

That is so great! I see you are very active on the site and definately in the community!! Where are you guys located? I am in CA and would love to do something like that in our area? Do you think they have a "Think together" thing in Sac area?

  Hi Gina, our district is Orange County, mostly Orange, Brea, Anaheim & Yorba Linda (I know...all over the place) I think there is a THINK Together near you, I can double check that as I am going to the Book Doctor today at 2. This is one of my favorite things to do, not only because of early literacy (I have 2 young kids myself) but also the convience for my work-life balance as well.
  
  was just at the doctor's office with my youngest, and she was reading one of our books! Well, maybe not exactly one that I cleaned, but still, it was a THINK together book, and I was so proud, and really felt "A Part of" if you know what I mean.

      I spoke to the guys at THINK Together, and while they do not have a Book doctor outside of Orange & LA County, there is a THINK Togther in the Sacremento area. Our Contact is Julio Robles, Operations Manager. He can help you get in touch with someone in your area. This is kind of a pilot program around here, so hopefully you could be part of getting it started up there. His email is jrobles1@THINKtogether.org, and phone number is 714.824.3522 ext. 8634.         Thanks for getting me the contact info for THINK. Julio was a great point of contact and he got me in contact with Brijette Bergman. She is the manager of volunteers in Elk Grove (closest thing to me) and her number is 916.667.9585 and her email is bbergman@THINKtogether.org. I am currently working with her for my neck of the woods and really apprechiate your help!
