Can customers lead events?

Hey partners.

I have asked this question already but haven't gotten any response... does anyone know or can someone please tell me- can customers lead events on the site and if so how?  Is there a special way they have to do it because one of my customers and I have been trying and it hasn't worked for us yet... we have an event in July and I would love for her to ba able to "lead" it on the site... Anyone?  Help?

Thanks!

Gina

    Hi Gina -

Through Starbucks Community Service Program, only Starbucks partners can lead projects. You can read the full program guidelines on the LEAD page under Partner Program Details. Only Starbucks partners have access to the Lead page.

Can you provide information on how to lead a project or find a lead for one? The California Dental Association Foundation is hosting a free dental clinic August 24-25 and needs more than 1,000 volunteers to help with setup, data entry, registration, etc. August 23-26 at Cal Expo. I am not a Starbucks employee so it appears I cannot post this as a project but was wondering how to get a lead to do so... Can any employee post projects? Should I start with my local Starbucks? Any information you can provide would be helpful, thank you!

I would recommend starting with your local Starbucks store. They may be a partner who would serve as the project leader.

You might also go to the Stories section of the site and start a discussion asking for a Starbucks partner in your area to lead the project.

    Gina,

Hi, just figuring this site out. It is amazing. I have another event that I am involved in and would love to share it with the Starbucks community as well. As you know I do hot yoga over at VEERA YOGA, and they have teemed up with a global effort through a program called "OFF THE MAT, INTO THE WORLD" our group is doing a YOGA MARATHON so to speak - I will be doing 108 sun salutations on June 22 in order to raise funds for :

The Global Seva Challenge is an effort to raise funds to preserve the Amazon rainforest and protect the rights of its people. Here is the link toTiffany's personal fundraising page for the Off The Mat Into The World Seva Challenge. Please, check it out! TIFFANY is one of my Yoga instructors at Veera, she has speerheaded the SEVA AMAZON EVENT HERE IN ROCKLIN - IT WILL BE AT THE ROCKLIN SPORTS COMPLEX. I have signed up as a participant for the cause - so I will be actualy on my mat for OFF THE MAT on June 22. Anhy ideas on how to bring more community awareness to this cause? I would love people to sponsor me for the 108 YOGA MARATHON. Thanks

As always, I wish you, "Life, Love, Laughter, and Light!"
