How do I log my hours for my event "The Tasting" on April 17,2012? I have tried and tried. Last year I gave up trying to log in my participation at the Aids Walk. I also missed on matching gifts for my donations.
Hello Gloria,
As the project leader, you should be able to see a button to "record hours" on the right side bar of your project's homepage, but I've been seeing many partners saying this option is unavailable to them. I'm working with the site administrators to fix the issue. In the mean time, if you can send a screengrab of what you are seeing, that will help the webmasters tremendously.
I also encourage you to check out this thread where a group of us have been discussing the issue: http://community.starbucks.com/message/7009#7009
Thanks,
Angella
Hi Angela,
Thank you for repying.
I have a Mac and I don't know what a screengrab is.
Also, I am very happy that this being worked on but it doesn't negate the fact that it has been two months since I did my event. I am concerned that these difficulties will discourage people from doing events. We all are very busy and this shouldn't be time consuming. There should be a alternate way to record our hours such as faxing as we did in the old days.
Thank you again,
G. Mikey Perry
Can you make a screenshot of what you encounter when you try to record hours? I can send this on to our tech team. Thanks.
I don't know how to do that.
Thanks,
G. Mikey Perry
Typically, there is a button on the keyboard that says print screen (PrtScn). Do you have that? You press that, and paste it into an email. Send to me and I'll take it from there.
I don't see it on my mac book. I am so frustrated by the time I have spent on this. There should be a alternate way to turn in my hrs. I have another project I am working on and don't have time to do it without finshing this one. Thanks for trying to help.

Let's give this one more try. Let me confirm some information:
If possible, I'll see what can be done to submit your information another way. Thanks.
Macs can natively do screencaps better, it's just not easily known, unless you have the Grab app in your dock.
Users who frequently need access to screencaps should drag the Grab icon to their dock for easy access.
Also you could look up the following article which describes the myriad of ways to grab screenshots on a Mac.
Cheers

My project was for Jewish Family and Career services-Health and Human Services-over 100 hrs served April 17,2012.
Money raised to help the Independent Living Program helping over 50 adults with various disabilities be able to live on their own. Need MYM funds for organization and there is no place to log hours when I pull up my event.

Gloria -
I've worked with our vendor this week to find a solution for you. We found a project that you led in the system called "The Tasting" that took place on May 24, 2011 where 31 volunteers contributed 100 hours.
Did you do this same project last year or do you think that perhaps there is a problem with the date that is displaying (in other words, the date should be April 17, 2012 and not May 24, 2011?) If that is the case, I can ask the vendor to change the date for you, so the correct one is displayed. If you have done this project twice (once in May of 2011 and again in April 2012), then I would ask that you recreate the April 2012 project because it is not showing in the website database.
Kelly,
Yes I did this event last year.
This year it was April 17. There was something wrong all along because my partners could not find it to join but I could go to my home page and easily pull it up.
Thank you for your help.
Gloria
Can you recreate the project and enter the results, so the hours count?
