Hey partners.
I have asked this question already but haven't gotten any response... does anyone know or can someone please tell me- can customers lead events on the site and if so how? Is there a special way they have to do it because one of my customers and I have been trying and it hasn't worked for us yet... we have an event in July and I would love for her to ba able to "lead" it on the site... Anyone? Help?
Thanks!
Gina
Hi Gina -
Through Starbucks Community Service Program, only Starbucks partners can lead projects. You can read the full program guidelines on the LEAD page under Partner Program Details. Only Starbucks partners have access to the Lead page.
Thank you!
We did have that page, heck my customer even printed it out and we were trying so hard to have her lead events... that explains it!
Thanks so much! Maybe one day they will change it so customers too can lead events.
I'll share your thoughts with our Community Investments team, who developed the program. Thanks.
Thanks for passing along our feedback!
Much apprechiated, just think how many more events and how many more people could get involved if it weren't just up to the partners...
Can you provide information on how to lead a project or find a lead for one? The California Dental Association Foundation is hosting a free dental clinic August 24-25 and needs more than 1,000 volunteers to help with setup, data entry, registration, etc. August 23-26 at Cal Expo. I am not a Starbucks employee so it appears I cannot post this as a project but was wondering how to get a lead to do so... Can any employee post projects? Should I start with my local Starbucks? Any information you can provide would be helpful, thank you!
Courtney
I would recommend starting with your local Starbucks store. They may be a partner who would serve as the project leader.
You might also go to the Stories section of the site and start a discussion asking for a Starbucks partner in your area to lead the project.
Hey Courtney.
Thanks for asking, I would suggest going into your starbucks (because I assume you are a fan and have your personal store) :) And then depending on if they are willing to help you they can "lead the event" or you can check by area on the site for stores and active managers on the site for help. If still no luck let me know and I or any one of my partners can maybe take the lead on it. Thanks for reaching out and I hope we as a company can help!
Gina
Thanks, my local starbucks wasn't sure how to do that... I'll start a discussion on here. Thank you for your help!

Gina,
Hi, just figuring this site out. It is amazing. I have another event that I am involved in and would love to share it with the Starbucks community as well. As you know I do hot yoga over at VEERA YOGA, and they have teemed up with a global effort through a program called "OFF THE MAT, INTO THE WORLD" our group is doing a YOGA MARATHON so to speak - I will be doing 108 sun salutations on June 22 in order to raise funds for :
The Global Seva Challenge is an effort to raise funds to preserve the Amazon rainforest and protect the rights of its people. Here is the link toTiffany's personal fundraising page for the Off The Mat Into The World Seva Challenge. Please, check it out! TIFFANY is one of my Yoga instructors at Veera, she has speerheaded the SEVA AMAZON EVENT HERE IN ROCKLIN - IT WILL BE AT THE ROCKLIN SPORTS COMPLEX. I have signed up as a participant for the cause - so I will be actualy on my mat for OFF THE MAT on June 22. Anhy ideas on how to bring more community awareness to this cause? I would love people to sponsor me for the 108 YOGA MARATHON. Thanks
As always, I wish you, "Life, Love, Laughter, and Light!"

That's great Sheila! I can chat with you more about it tomorrow and once I gather all the details we can make an event here on the page and figure out ways to recruit sponsors for you and the cause! Maybe we can be your cheerleaders and serve coffee or help with set up or clean up. Or maybe I can do it too... would it be hard?! I want all the 411, I will pick your brain in the morning!
So glad to have you on the site and can't wait to work with you and Dan and your family with Mary Kay and our community!!
